Challenge Week 1 - Fit Mommy Friday

Well, today is the mark of the first week of 10 towards the  Challenge over at Fit Mommy Friday.  And I am happy to say today is a GREAT day.  I lost 3 pounds this week!!  I know - first week back and all, but I am so happy with the result. Hopefully, I can keep that up.

So here are the goals I had posted last week:

1. Eat a salad 5 times per week.
2. Drink at least 48 oz. of water each day ( I hate water.)
3. Have no more then 2 Coke (zero's - so no calories) per day.
4. Exercise with the 30 Day Shred (or another Biggest Loser video) 3 times/week. 
5. Walk 2- 3 times per week 2 times around my neighborhood.

I am happy to say that I think I did pretty well.  I have eaten a salad every day but today (so far - however I plan to have one for dinner.)  And I ran out so I need to go to the store pronto!

I have drunk at least 48 oz of water per day and some days more.  I try to do that earlier in the day so I can "reward" myself with my Coke Zero.  On that note, I have had only one Coke Zero most days.  The other days I do NOT have more then 2.

I have done the 30 Day Shred once this week.  I plan on doing it again today (so that would be twice.)  And since the Challenge began Monday I will probably do the Biggest Loser Yoga video on Saturday or Sunday to meet goal #4 from above.

#5 hasn't happened yet this week, but I plan on walking today through Sunday so hopefully I won't fail this one already.  I didn't have the stroller most of this week so it's hard to walk my neighborhood with all 3 kiddos without the stroller.  Seanan doesn't walk fast enough. :)

Oh and I am happy to say that when I attempted the 30 Day Shred this time I didn't hurt for 4 days afterwards.  I actually felt awesome the next day.  I did have a few extra carbs and a very yummy desert that I made for small group, but one desert in the week is good, right? And the main part of the desert was blueberries (low carb fruit).  However, I should also let you know it also did include chocolate chips ... yum.

So how did you do?  Thanks for all your encouragement.  I'd love to hear from you - it's been very helpful for all the wonderful support I've gotten.  I think this time I may be able to reach my goals!  And don't forget to head on over to Fit Mommy Friday and check-in on the rest of the mommies in the challenge.

You had a very good week! You know, you could trade the choc chips for some dark chocolate and have a yummy low carb dessert! Good job!

I'm finally able to make the rounds today! It's been busy day :)

I really like your goal of salad several times a week. I love salad and yet, I'm not all that good with making it and eating it.

Hmmm....I think I might need to have one tomorrow.

A salad everyday is doable and they could be so delicious, especially if you add protein to it.

Ooooh, I LOVE the 30 Day Shred! And kudos to you for losing 3 pounds your first week!!! Woohoo!

I am proud of you. I did pretty good, but not what I had really wanted to do, but hey, I lost 2 pounds! Awesome on the 3 pounds lost.
