Time to Think About Pictures

I know. It's only November.  But it's never to early to start thinking about pictures for Christmas.  If I don't start thinking about them now, I may wait too late and be sending out my Christmas cards in January.  And let me tell you, that's a bit late (I know this from experience.)

So this year I'm trying to prepare early so that maybe I can get them sent out and have them arrive before Christmas.  That would be nice.

While we were out a few weeks ago at Michaels getting some last minute needed items for some cakes I had to make, I was able to pick up some photo card envelopes really cheap.  I had been planning this year, just to take our picture and duplicate it and place it in the photo card and send those.  In years past we've just had a photo card with the greeting and all already on the picture.  But with monies a bit tight, I was trying to save money somehow, but not forgo our tradition of the Christmas picture card.

I've usually purchase my photo cards from local places.  But with some online photo companies it's becoming cheaper to do it that way.  So I've been browsing the many photo options over at Shutterfly.  I've been mainly looking at their Christmas Cards and their Christian Christmas cards.  I think I've narrowed my search down to two:

Still have to ask hubby about his choice and it also matters on our clothing.  I like to match our clothing to the card or complement our color scheme. I know I'm funny like that.  Although I think I'm leaning more toward the multi-picture window one (the red one).  That way we could have a close up of each child, mom and dad together as well as the family as a whole.  Or 2 of the whole family and one of each kid.  The possibilities with that photo card are almost limitless.  And with all the other choices I may have to start from scratch once Stephen chimes in.  Which one would you choose?

They even have Thanksgiving cards.  That is just pretty awesome!  Autumn is my favorite time of year, even if I do live in the south which seems to skip fall a little bit.  What's even better is their current promotion. Shutterfly is offering 20% off all holiday cards

So head on over to Shutterfly and see if they have a Christmas design or Thanksgiving design you like.  Or you could even make your own design.  And let me know which one of mine you like best.  You never know you might be our deciding factor.

*** For doing this promotional post I will be eligible to earn 50 free photo cards. I have received no further compensation from Shutterfly.  All the opinions and thoughts stated were my own.***

I would recommend complimentary colors...not all the same colors for your Christmas cards.

I like the card that allows for multiple photos.
