On Again, Off Again

I haven't spent much time updating you all on my weight loss journey.  That is because it came to a halt.  I'm not sure why, and I'm not sure how.  But, I do not like it.

So this past weekend, I decided I just had to do something for real.  I really enjoy watching the Biggest Loser and so I decided to try and find a Biggest Loser workout on our 'on demand' feature.  I did.  I found Jillian Michaels doing the 30 Day Start.  Then I convinced my husband that he needed to do it with me. (I don't like the idea of exercising in front of others, so if he was working out too he wasn't watching.)

I barely finished the workout.  It was HARD!  And I felt it for days.  Up until yesterday I had a hard time walking.  My legs were killing me.  Although it has been almost a week since that workout, I plan to do some exercises on my own tonight.  I also plan on doing that same workout tomorrow.  I hope this time my body will be more used to the workout and won't react quite as painfully as the last time.

I also restarted my 'eat one salad a day' regimen today.  I forget how much I really enjoy salads.  I just hate making them.  I don't know why.  They are super easy and fast.  I had no carbs for breakfast, a salad and water for lunch and a healthy dinner (light on the carbs.)

So maybe this time it will be for real. Maybe this time I will be able to stick it out and reach my goal without losing momentum.  I really need to see a change.

Well,I thought I had posted this last night.  Apparently I did not. It must have been because I am meant to state my new goals for the Fit Mommy Friday 10 Week Challenge.  They posted about the challenge this morning.  So if you are like me and want real encouragement and help towards your weight loss and fitness goals, now is the time.

So here are my goals:
1. Eat a salad 5 times per week.
2. Drink at least 48 oz. of water each day ( I hate water.)
3. Have no more then 2 Coke (zero's - so no calories) per day.
4. Exercise with the 30 Day Shred (or another Biggest Loser video) 3 times/week.
5. Walk 2- 3 times per week 2 times around my neighborhood.

So what are you waiting for?  Go now and sign up yourself at Got Chai?.  And please leave me a note of what you are doing or to your blog post.  I'll help you stay on track and you help me.  That way we all win. :)

Kelly~ I'm really happy you've decided to join the insanity--er, Fit Mommy Challenge! ;-) You're going to do a GREAT job!

The first time I did the 30 Day Shred I thought, "Gee, this isn't so bad." Until the next morning. Oh.my.goodness! Of course, me being--well, ME--I started out with level 2 thinking I'm a total fitness phenom or something. Ha! But I know from personal experience that that workout yields AMAZING results! Later on, if you're up to an even bigger challenge, I'd encourage you to check out her "Blast Fat/Boost Metabolism" and "No More Trouble Zones" workouts. Now those babies will make you hurt in places you never knew existed! LOL

Great goals! I don't like making salads or drinking water either. :o/ I feel your pain.

Here's to your upcoming success!!!

I've never seen The Biggest Loser, but a friend has mentioned the workout you did - it sounds tough! I joined the challenge and definitely need the encouragement too! I look forward to seeing all of us progess in our goals!

Hey Kelly, glad we are all doing this together!
Don't work out too hard that you give up. On demand also has Leslie Sansones work out videos. I love them, they are easier in comparison to most, but they work.
