This is the third week of 10 towards the Challenge over at Fit Mommy Friday. So here's the nitty-gritty.
Okay, I'd be a little remiss if I didn't say that I was a bit disappointed when I looked at the scale this morning. I had gained about a pound. Now granted, I had already eaten some (I forgot to weigh before eating), but still I was disappointed.
Here are my original goals:
1. Eat a salad 5 times per week.
2. Drink at least 48 oz. of water each day ( I hate water.)
3. Have no more then 2 Coke (zero's - so no calories) per day.
4. Exercise with the 30 Day Shred (or another Biggest Loser video) 3 times/week.
5. Walk 2- 3 times per week 2 times around my neighborhood.#1 - I am mastering this one! I actually have been enjoying eating them. My girls have even been my little reminders that I need to eat my salad. It's also helped them to eat a raw veggie as a snack or with lunch several times a week.
#2 - The last few days I have been barely meeting this goal, but I am still getting right to the mark. Which is weird, because for a few days I was intaking well beyond the 48 oz.
#3 - This is easy for me to do. I just tell myself I can not have any Coke until I have had my water. Most days my 'mind over matter' trick works on me. If I do happen to have a Coke before finishing my goal (like when I have a horrid headache) I try to increase my water by the same amount of ounces.
#4 - I might not be able to squeeze 3 this week in. This has definitely been the hardest. I have to not only find them on the TV (they are part of the On Demand feature of our cable service), but I also have to find time to do them when I can have the living room space. That limits when I can do that. So I think what I'm going to do is re-appropriate my goals, by adding and extra time around the block (3 times around) and make the "workout" programs be 2 times per week instead of 3. I usually get at least one time in on the weekend.
#5 - This has been fun. I take my girls and usually the baby (in his stroller) around. Yesterday when we went some other children were playing in their yard and asked if they could come walk (or ride their bikes) while we were going around the block. So I said sure. we all went twice around and then the other kids had to go in for dinner and my girls, Seanan and I continued on around one more time. I'm planning on the WHOLE family to go for a walk tomorrow (or at least the parents. The girls may be riding their bikes around.)
So other then a smidge of weight gain, I guess this week hasn't been too bad. I haven't been feeling well either this week which makes me not want certain items.

I have had a terrible 2 weeks for the workouts. I have never had this much going on! Busy, injury from overdoing it and a period like I have never had...I will only be doing my 2nd workout of the week today. I am not beating myself up. I have being well otherwise, and know that all of this muscle is keeping me going. Good luck this week!
